Installing ProQuranTutor

Applies to ProQuranTutor Professional, all versions.

  1. Check the requirements.
  2. Put the release archive on the server and extract it outside the web root, then point the web server at the application's public/ directory.
  3. Copy .env.example to .env and fill it in: the application URL, the database connection and the mail settings.
  4. Generate the application key and run the database migrations, following the README in the archive.
  5. Open the site in a browser. It will ask you to create the first administrator account.
  6. Go to the licensing screen and activate your licence.

Where the archive comes from

Every release you are entitled to is downloadable from the customer portal, under Downloads, and each download is authorized individually. The portal shows the SHA-256 checksum of the archive; check it after downloading, because that is how you know the file you have is the file we published.
